OUTLINE: Koutbiya is a fundraising event created to support the sustainability of Dal NGO

CONCEPT:“Koutbiya:Words and Thoughts Performing at DRM”: The program includes diversified artistic performers gathering together to emphasize on the importance of reading either through their related artwork or through a small speech or a testimonial about their personal reading experience prior to their performance. The program comprises Music (Alternative,Tarab, Rap…) Modern and traditional storytelling (hakawaty), poetry, Acting, Stand-up Comedy and other surprises. In addition to pre-planned performances, the audience is invited to be part of an improvisational performance by engaging each table to suggest quotes and excerpts of books – displayed during event- gathered together with featured artists and musicians who will support each table and make a collective improvisational performance. A group of Judges from DRM will announce the winning table that will win valuable prizes.
